Fine dining AND mini golf? It’s not two things you’d normally expect to go hand in hand, but here at Greens of Padstow we’ve always liked to do things a little differently to make sure every single person who visits us, leaves smiling. Padstow Mini Golf is a great family activity that is fun for all ages, from the tiniest of tots to teenagers, parents and even grandma and grandpa! Below are just a few reasons that we reckon our mini golf course should definitely make it onto your list of Summer Holiday Things To Do…
Open all day, whatever the weather
Padstow Mini Golf is open from 10am until dusk every single day, rain or shine! Obviously, we know you’d rather be putting in glorious sunshine, but even in the Cornish mizzle you can brave the course. It can be hard to find things to do in Cornwall when it’s a bit grey, but as the expression goes, “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!”
A great family day out
Our mini golf course is traditional, good ol’ fashioned family fun, and can be enjoyed by the everyone of all ages. Our 18 hole golf garden doesn’t only cater for older children who’ve held a golf club before, but we even have an interactive animal search incorporated into the course, where little ones can follow the clues set by our friend the Frog and search for all his cartoon buddies including the Rabbit, Deer and Squirrel.
Not only is the mini golf course suitable for all ages, but it’s a great way to get everyone outside in the fresh air. The 18 hole course is spread over different levels across the hillside behind Greens and will get the blood pumping, colour in your cheeks and laughter in your lungs.
Tickets for children 15 and under are £5 and adult admission is just £6.50. You can have 4 in a team and spend as long as you like on the course completing each hole.
A great alternative activity for big kids too
Mini golf isn’t just for kiddies! Adults love it, groups of friends can show their competitive sides and it’s a great staff day out for bosses looking to treat their hard working team to a day of fun. You’re guaranteed loads of laughs, and why not challenge your friends to see who can get the most hole in ones?
You don’t even need to leave man’s best friend behind either, as the entire mini golf course, plus the Greens terrace, is dog friendly.
Stunning views, surrounded by nature
Our ever-changing course was designed to shift with the seasons; beautiful banana trees filter the sunlight through their rich leaves on July mornings, whilst coastal plants pop up during the colder months. The garden is carefully and lovingly tended to by our talented gardener, guaranteeing that there’s always something new and pretty to spot sprouting!
The course is also a haven for nature, and you’ll see butterflies, seabirds and marine life in the estuary below. Lots of our native wildlife favourites make their homes in the natural habitats throughout the course- so far we’ve spotted, hedgehogs, field mice, voles, toads, grasshoppers and slow worms!
We may be biased, but we’re not sure we’ve ever been to another mini golf course with such a beautiful vista. The view looks out over the sparkling Camel Estuary and over to Rock and Porthilly, whilst just below is the colourful fishing town of Padstow, but don’t get too distracted if you’re playing to win!
Cream teas right around the corner!
After a round of golf, why not pop into Greens of Padstow for a cream tea? It doesn’t get much more Cornish than scones overlooking the sea… Greens is famous for it’s glorious food and breathtaking views. Whilst breakfast and lunch is still a casual affair, if you’d like to play mini golf in the evening and then join us for dinner, you’ll need to book a table via the booking page on our website. We look forward to seeing you soon!
